Day Description: Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), I will meet you directly inside the arrival hall holding a name sign. We hit the Southern Expressway directly to the beach resort town of Bentota. After checking into your hotel, spend the afternoon resting by the pool or enjoying your first sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day Description: After breakfast, we explore the best local highlights around Bentota and Balapitiya. We embark on a boat safari through the mangrove tunnels of the Madu River, visiting small cinnamon islands along the way. Next, we visit Meetiyagoda to see how rare blue moonstones are mined from deep earth shafts. We also visit a local sea turtle hatchery, followed by a walk through a traditional spice garden and a Ceylon tea shop for local tasting.

Day Description: We depart early along the southern coast to Mirissa. Board a ocean boat for a whale watching excursion to spot blue whales and dolphins in their natural marine habitat. After returning to shore and grabbing lunch, the afternoon is yours to enjoy Mirissa’s golden beach—try a surfing lesson, go snorkeling with turtles in the bay, or enjoy scuba diving before sunset seafood by the beach.

After checking into your hotel, we hop into a private 4x4 open-top safari jeep for an afternoon game drive in Yala National Park—home to one of the world's highest densities of leopards, along with elephants, sloth bears, and wild peacocks.

Day Description: After breakfast, we check out of Yala and take the smooth Southern Expressway straight to Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, Colombo. After settling into your city hotel, we conduct an evening panoramic city tour—exploring the floating Gangaramaya Temple, historic Independence Memorial Hall, Pettah market streets, and sunset strolls along Galle Face Green promenade.

Drive Time / Distance: Approx. 45 minutes / 35 km (via Airport Expressway)

Overnight: End of Tour (Departure)
